The Young Professional Society (YPS) of Springfield hosted their annual Vote the Valley event on Thursday evening. In an effort to promote voter attendance on election day, YPS provides this opportunity for young professionals, elected officials, and candidates to network. Young professionals have a chance to talk with candidates in a social setting, learn about the candidates’ positions, and make their own voices heard.
Remember to get out and vote on Tuesday, November 8th! Whether you’re left, right, or in the middle, every vote matters.

Michael attended the CT Business Expo at the Connecticut Convention Center today. Businesses from across the state exhibited their products and services and also shared knowledge of their industries.
Michael attended a panel discussion about successful networking. Jill Monson from Inspired Marketing and other professionals shared their tips for success. Jill is a dynamo when it comes to promoting businesses and events, and she inspired the group to harness the power of an effective handshake. It’s often the little things that have a big impact!
Michael and other local professionals enjoyed the NCCCC Business After Hours at Crestview Country Club in Agawam on Thursday. Everyone took a break for a few minutes to get some golf lessons from the Crestview Pro Golfer, Mike Zaranek.

Michael attended the North Central Connecticut Chamber of Commerce After Hours at Asnuntuck Community College on Thursday evening.
Asnuntuck is currently undergoing the construction of a new 5,600 sq ft facility to enlarge its Manufacturing Technology Center. Asnuntuck has created a strong relationship with the business community to develop its manufacturing program. Business leaders have applauded the work Asnuntuck is doing to train the manufacturing work force. The new facility will include state of the art equipment necessary to train the next generation of welding and fabrication workers.
